Warren Rex McGlaughlin, age 84 of Knoxville passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. Born August 29, 1932 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William H. and Mary (Rex) McGlaughin. Rex grew up in Pottstown and relocated to Deerfield Twp. in 1958. He was a medic in the US Army and drove milk truck for 28 years. He attended the Butler Hill Baptist Church and the Cowanesque Valley Men’s Prayer breakfast. Rex enjoyed his friends, traveling, was an avid outdoorsman and reader, especially history books. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Doan); children, Susan (Michael) Kessler of York and Jane (Alan) House of South Williamsport; grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler and Jaela House and Alec and Lindsey Kessler and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Wednesday 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Thursday, 12:00 – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following on Thursday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bill O’Neil and Ronald Burgard officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Butler Hill Cemetery.
