HOWE, Donald A.
Donald A. Howe passed away on November 11, 2017. He was 90 years old.
Donald was born and raised in Lawrenceville, PA. He served in The United States Army, seeing active duty in Korea during the early years of the Korean Conflict. Later he enjoyed a rewarding career as a lifelong educator; first as a Math teacher and later as a Guidance Counselor at Williamson Jr./Sr. High School in Tioga, PA. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 51 years, Toletha Rae (Reese) Howe; his sister, Catherine Drawdy, and his granddaughter, Julie Howe. He is survived by three sons and one daughter; Timothy Raymond (Nancy) Howe, Coopersburg, PA; Stephen E. (Connie)Howe, Miamisburg, OH; William R. (Carrie)Howe, Addison, NY; and Catherine Howe(Drew) Middleton, Crestwood, KY; and by nine grandchildren and three nephews.
Donald was a loving husband as well as a devoted and inspiring father and grandfather. In his later years he spent his summers at his cottage on Keuka Lake, where he loved boating, fishing and (most importantly to him) spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Family will receive friends at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W. Main St., Elkland on Wednesday 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 9:30 AM with Father Joseph McNamara officiating. Burial with military honors will be held immediately following at Powers Cemetery.
